Conditions| Discover Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatments

Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists work from a signs and symptoms basis which assists us in determining a differential diagnosis from a Chinese medicine perspective, these are called "Patterns of Disharmony". As no clients presentation is the same, it makes sense that your treatment may not be the same as someone you know, and how many visits/dosage of Acupuncture and other TCM therapies is also dependent on this individual presentation, as well as if your presentation is Acute (just happened) or Chronic(had for a while).

Our Chinese Medicine Diagnosis may sound strange to you for example: A Symptom or Diagnosis you present with caused by Qi stagnation, Qi Deficiency, or Wind Cold invasion, or Hot Damp Bi Syndrome, you may also have more than one pattern of disharmony. While this sounds odd we are still thinking and working out diagnosis from a Physiological perspective.

As Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioners with AHPRA, in order to present you with a list of Conditions in advertising, any registered practitioner must reference this condition by using a systematic review. There is research in Cochrane which you can search using Acupuncture and…….if you wish to look further into what you may be interested in. For me to list and keep you updated takes my time away from a client. I get so caught up on the journey it can lead me down the rabbit hole of research! It generally takes me awhile to resurface, once you get started it becomes so interesting, you can’t help but follow the trail.

I prefer to focus on my presenting client’s care, researching cases individually as necessary. This keeps me current, along with over 3000 years of Acupuncture History, Traditional Chinese Medicine observational skills, research, and my clinical experience. A holistic approach to the physiological effects of the insertion of fine needles.

My areas of interest are

  • Women’s health, PCOS, PCO, Endometriosis, painful periods, fertility, IVF, pregnancy support

  • Pain with Acute (just happened) or Chronic (have had for a while) Sports Injury

  • Pain (any kind) Muscle soreness or Injury,

  • Emotional health /Anxiety/Stress

  • Digestive issues and Chinese Food therapy

  • Seasonal Ailments that may come upon us

However, this does not limit the signs or symptoms you present to me with, even if not listed above, simple or complex. It is part of why I love my job, the variety and the differences each person presents with, you are unique so the challenge is accepted!!

Tailored Approach

Book an Acupuncture appointment option that suits you. You are not at all limited in having Acupuncture! Presenting us with all the signs and symptoms that you may have, enables us to make a Chinese Medicine Diagnosis. On occasions the variability of peoples symptoms may alter successful research outcomes such as seen in some specific conditions like fertility imbalances (women have not all the same reasons for this presentation) as Acupuncture point prescriptions are tailored to you for your imbalances from your life journey they are as unique as you. This is why Acupuncture prescription varies from person to person, making Acupuncture prescription protocol with no variables, difficult to fit the research model, although not with everything, just certain things. However, this is the true beauty of Chinese Medicine it allows us to tailor a specific treatment for you. As a duty of care if we feel you would benefit from a referral to other Healthcare practitioners in conjunction with Acupuncture we will do so.
